GILDHOUSE
LAUNCH NIGHT:
On Friday 1st December a group of interested parishioners gathered
in the Gildhouse to celebrate the success of the bid for funding
of the Restoration Project. While guests enjoyed refreshments and
took the opportunity to look at the project plan display, they
were entertained by some beautiful harp playing by Gail Morwood
and Lucy Burrows, which suited the occasion admirably.
Tim Dingle gave a detailed presentation outlining the background
and future plans for the project. District Councillor Tony Edwards
gave a vote of thanks, particularly for the enormous amount of
work put in by Tim and other members of the project team to
advance the plans to the present stage. The building work is
scheduled to start next spring and needs to be completed before
the end of 2007.
